Costume Cameos (Large Scale Miniatures)
My art is inspired by the personal events that shape my life. As a result, it is invested with an intimacy that touches the viewer. I tell a story through my work, though not in narrative form. I create a sign language of icons that condenses meaning and sums up the experience. The Costume Cameos reflect my interest in fashion and portraiture. They symbolize the attempt to define ourselves by the clothes we wear. These are mementos of a lost identity. They are not meant to recapture the past. Rather, they suggest that identity is tailored to each inevitable change.
Murals
Large-scale works created for private residences, public spaces, and architectural interiors — each mural a bespoke collaboration with the space it inhabits.
Portraits
Commissioned and studio portraits that seek to capture not just likeness but character — the light behind the eyes, the story held in a gesture.
Landscape & Garden
Paintings of the natural world — from intimate garden corners to sweeping vistas — capturing the ever-changing quality of light across the seasons.
Still Life
Arrangements of objects rendered with classical precision — exploring the beauty of the everyday through careful composition, light, and shadow.
Wax & Mixed Media
Experimental works that layer encaustic wax, pigment, and found materials — building surfaces of depth and luminosity that reward close looking.
2008 Exhibit
Works shown at Diane Keller's 2008 exhibition — a landmark collection that brought together pieces from across her practice, celebrating the breadth and depth of her artistic vision.
